NJ Transit out of Aberdeen-Matawan to Manhattan ~55 min.
- Marlborough MA — Middlesex/Worcester border: Apex Center entertainment, the historic Main Street, Solomon Pond Mall just east. Day trips: Boston (40 min via I-495 + Mass Pike), Worcester (25 min west), the Wachusett Mountain ski area (30 min NW for winter), Concord and Lexington for revolutionary-history (30 min east). The town is built around the I-495 tech corridor — Raytheon, Boston Scientific, TJX HQ.
- Marlboro NY — Hudson Valley: small Ulster County village on the west bank of the Hudson; orchard country (Weed Orchards, Hepworth Farms). Day trips: Newburgh (10 min south), Beacon and Dia:Beacon contemporary art museum (20 min south-east across the river), Storm King Art Center (30 min south), New Paltz and the Shawangunks for hiking (30 min west). - Marlboro VT — Windham County: tiny (~1,000 pop) — known almost exclusively for the Marlboro Music summer festival (chamber music, mid-July to mid-August on the former Marlboro College campus). Brattleboro is 15 minutes east; Manchester VT and the Green Mountain National Forest are an hour north.
